Storage Tips

· When storing furniture, place delicate items in the drawers and wrap them in bubble wrap to prevent breaking

· When packing small objects, pack as much as you can into the box before closing it up.

· Store garden tools in trash cans

· Do not store combustibles

· Cover mattresses and lay them on flat surfaces when storing

· Place pots and pans into appliances like ovens and refrigerators

· Store files into boxes with clear, easy to read labeling for fast accessibility

· Distribute the weight evenly in your container

· Boxes should be filled completely and lids closed

· Protect your items with bubble wrap

· Store fragile items in dresser drawers

· Prop the storage unit door open so it doesn’t unexpectedly close on you

· Place books and other heavy items into smaller boxes for easier handling

· Pack all items as tight as possible - A good rule of thumb is to pack the container one quarter at a time

· Disassemble tables and chairs and wrap them to avoid scratches. Place the screws and bolts into a plastic bag and tape to underside of table

· Couches can be packed on their feet, with a second couch on top of it

· Pictures should be wrapped in bubble wrap or newspaper and should not lay flat
